As summer comes to an end we’d like to commemorate this beautiful group of dancers graduating and heading off on their next part of their life journey.
The dance is perfectly imperfect. When you find your people and connect on a different level, the steps don’t seem to matter. This piece is a snapshot in time, a reminder of the memories, the growth, and the connections that make this dance and these girls genuine friendships so special.

What a summer it’s been at BSD! ☀️💙
From our annual Summer Dance Camp to our Competitive Intensive, our dancers have been working hard, making memories, and doing what they love most — DANCING!

We had the absolute best time at On The Floor Finals, where our dancers went out there and ROCKED IT! 🔥 We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work, dedication, and passion they brought to the stage.

And to top it all off, we welcomed so many new faces through our FREE SUMMER classes! It was so special to open our doors, share our love of dance, and introduce even more families to the BSD dance family. 🥹

A huge thank you to our incredible dancers, families, teachers, and everyone who helped make this summer so unforgettable. We are so grateful for the memories, the growth, the laughter, and the love that filled our studio.

Summer, you were AMAZING. We can’t wait to see what the 2026/2027 season brings! ✨

Meet Miss Alex & Miss Ave — the sisters, owners, and directors behind The Barrie School of Dance!
Dance has been such a huge part of both of our lives, but owning BSD has become about so much more than dance. It’s about the relationships we’ve built, the dancers we’ve watched grow up, and the incredible community we’ve created together.
We’re in the studio EVERY DAY — teaching classes, choreographing dances, answering emails, cheering from the wings, and making it all happen!
What we differ in personalities and strengths, we share the same vision: to build a studio where dancers can be themselves, work hard, and genuinely feel like they belong.
Thank you for letting us do what we love, and for making BSD your second home!
