Since 2022, the Purple Cobras have been a proud staple in tournaments across Canada and the US, showcasing some of the most talented 2015-born athletes in North America. After four years of dedication, growth, and unforgettable experiences, we’re thrilled to announce our alumni list of 39 players who will be competing in the historic tournament this July! 🏑🔥

Take 2! Congrats to all of our U9 Purple Cobras Graduates on a great tryout process, 23 of our 29 U9 graduates players have signed on to play AAA hockey next year, our program is also proud to be the main feeder this year to and it is clear that players coming from the are making up the majority of all AAA rosters in Ontario.

These #'s also go to show that you do not need to just be on Tier 1 to earn a AAA spot, play where you will get the most icetime and have a great role. Thanks to all our U9 parents for trusting the process, I'm very excited for the future of the Cobras as we continue to break barriers each season by proving the development model and program works.

Another successful weekend in the Toronto Invitational

Cobras picked up Championships in both the 2016 and 2017 Divisions along with great showings in the 2017,2018 and our newbie group of 2019's did great too.

What an incredible experience! When asked us to build a team to compete in Zell Am See, Austria, for the 33rd edition of the world tournament, we were beyond excited to take on the challenge.

After completing 7 games, finishing with a record of 4 wins, 1 loss, and 2 ties, I couldn’t be more proud—especially considering our roster was primarily 2015s competing in a tournament for 2014-born players where apparently hitting is allowed. That alone was a huge accomplishment. We were just 6 seconds away from earning a spot in Group A for the playoffs, which would have been a tall order against powerhouse squads from Ukraine and Switzerland. There are some talented players on both teams to watch for in the future.

Beyond the ice, we explored beautiful sites, played hockey, enjoyed fantastic food, and created unforgettable memories. This trip has truly been a remarkable experience for everyone involved.

We’re already looking ahead to next spring, planning to return to Europe, and exciting things are in the works!

A huge thank you to all the players for your hard work and dedication, and to the parents for your incredible support throughout.

We are proud to announce Nick Daurio as associate Head Coach of this team, Nick who brings great passion, strong leadership and player accountability to the coaching staff. Nick is truly an amazing hockey coach, but also an amazing person.

Jr Cobras Expand to Include U6 Age Group in Klevr Kubs Division

Purple Cobras Hockey Association is excited to announce that, in addition to our ongoing participation in the Klevr League, we are expanding our program to include the U6 age group. Jr. Cobras will now proudly join the Klevr Kubs division for the 2025/26 season, providing even more opportunities for young athletes to develop their hockey skills.

This new program is designed for the advanced development of players born in 2020 and 2021. The Jr Cobras will offer a comprehensive training schedule featuring three ice times per week: two development skates focused on skill-building and one competitive game. This structured approach is aimed at fostering a strong foundation in hockey while emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship.

This expansion allows us to nurture young talent from an early age, ensuring they receive the guidance and support they need to thrive in the sport and prepare them for the at U7.
