Well the end of another season is almost here. Lift out is this Friday, October 18th. All boats should be ready to lift out by 7:30 AM. All boaters should also be ready to help out starting at 7:30. The crane operator is typically ready to lift at this time.

Remember to have lines attached to help control the boat when it is in the air. Also check your cradle to ensure that it has the boat name on it as well as the bow/stern labelled.

All members lifting out with KBYC should pre-register this Saturday between 9 and 10:30 at the houseboat on H dock.

Also note that this Saturday is the final race of the season. For this participating there will be a skippers meeting following the lift out registration.

Also, on Saturday after 3pm there will be a final party on board. Join us anytime after 3. The BBQ will be available. Bring your own food and beverages.

Hello Members!

Next Saturday July 13 beginning at 5 p.m. is our annual “Steak Dinner”. Join us at the grill on the houseboat on K dock. Bring your own meat, beverages and a chair. The club will supply the BBQ and some sides. Hopefully many can attend to catch up on how the season is going so far.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Hello Members,

Unfortunately due to weather we have decided to postpone our Sail Past from tomorrow (June 15) until next Saturday June 22 at 1:30 p,m. The concern is not only the rain but very strong sustained winds and gusts forecasted. Sail Past is usually a rain or shine event but this change of plan is in the interest of safety and hopes more members can attend . Sorry for any inconvenience.

The Ice Breaker Cup is still scheduled to go tomorrow for our hearty regatta participants. The skippers meeting will take place on K dock at 10. All the best to our racers tomorrow and we hope to see you out next Saturday!!

Friday May 3rd is LIFT IN!!

Please arrive early and have yourself and your vessel ready by 7:30 a.m.

For those on trailers, please have these onsite before 7:30.

If you have any questions about preparedness address them to the club email address.

Key preparedness items include:
- registration complete, fees paid,
- vessel ready to start,
- lines attached for handling boat while being launched
- dock lines attached for quickly securing the boat in your slip so that you can return to help with the launch

We are able to offer group rates to our members because the lift operations are handled completely by our volunteers. We ask all members lifting with KBYC to be prepared to assist for the duration of the lift process. PLEASE BE PREPARED TO HELP!!

Further instructions for lift preparedness and power washing will be forwarded prior to lift out.
