Dear Friends and Family of Oxford Renaissance Festival,
We thank you for your patience as we worked to ensure that we made an informed decision during these uncertain times. With regret, we announce the 2020 Oxford Renaissance Festival will be postponed until September 2021.
The organizers of the festival thank you for your ongoing patronage, and trust you understand that we must ensure to ensure that we make an informed decision that is best for everyone and the festival.
For the protection of the health of our performers, volunteers, vendors, and you OUR LOYAL patrons, we must make this disappointing decision. Ultimately, the health and well-being of those we love must be at the forefront of our actions.
Unfortunately, the government has made it clear that large gatherings of people are not going to be encouraged for a good long while yet, and although we spoke of several modified ideas to be able to offer a festival while still maintaining physical distancing, it does not at this time seem feasible.
We look forward to 2021 as we will gather once again to experience the joy and camaraderie together as we all celebrate our unique festival with fellow festival goers.
But wait!
We want to leave you with a glimmer of hope, as our team is exploring alternative methods to keep the joy of the festival alive in our hearts and minds.
Stay tuned in the next coming weeks as we remodel and unveil A NEW PLAN to offer a 2020 Oxford Renaissance Mini-Event for loyal fans within the London area. We hope to satisfy your thirst and offer a taste of the festival in a safe manner while still maintaining physical distancing as we work through the logistics with Ontario Health guidelines.
In the meantime, we encourage you to stay safe and well, keep updated by checking our Social Media pages and website, and we hope that we will see you soon.
