Barrie Sharks Central Ontario’s female hockey leader. Sharks compete in the Provincial Women's Hockey League.

The Barrie Women's Hockey Association offers recreational hockey through our house league programs - offered at the Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam, Midget, and Senior levels. Our Barrie Sharks competitive teams compete at Novice through Midget levels in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League, while our Intermediate AA Barrie Jr.

Volunteers are an essential part of the BWHA! We're looking for Division Conveners to help support our Youth House League program.

As a Convener, you'll work alongside the Director of Youth House League to help coordinate activities within your division, including:
🏒Pre-season and evaluation skates
🏒Team draft day
🏒Communication between coaches, teams, and the Director of Youth House League
🏒Supporting a positive experience throughout the season

No experience required—just a willingness to help and a passion for creating a fun, supportive environment for our players.

The BWHA House League program continues to grow, creating a supportive environment where players develop their skills, build confidence, make lasting friendships, and have fun.

We're looking for passionate coaches to help guide our U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, and U18 House League and Development Stream teams for the upcoming season.

No coaching certifications yet? Don't let that stop you. We will support successful applicants in obtaining the required certifications before the season begins.

Whether you're an experienced coach or looking to give back to the game, we'd love to hear from you.

The Winter Classic is BACK this Family Day weekend!

With 93 teams hitting the ice last year, we are tracking to be even bigger and better. This tournament is quickly becoming the ultimate February destination!
