Happy Sunday!

You’ve probably heard the phrase “no days off,” but is it actually helping you get stronger, or just making you feel guilty for resting?

In this week’s blog, I’m breaking down what the research says about recovery, consistency, and why more isn’t always better

Find Out More Below:

Is the "No Days Off" mindset actually effective? Learn the pros and cons of training every day, what the research says about recovery, and why planned rest is essential for building strength, muscle, and long-term consistency.

I’ve been looking through these photos from Amy’s journey and honestly, what stands out to me isn’t the weight she’s lost or the physical changes.

It’s her smile!

started training with me in person in esrly 2025 and right from the beginning she was someone I looked forward to seeing each week. Like a lot of people, she wanted to get stronger, feel healthier, build confidence, and finally find some consistency with exercise. She wasn’t looking for a quick fix. She just wanted to feel better and create habits she could stick with.

Since then, she’s done exactly that.

What makes her story especially cool is that she moved all the way to Halifax and we’re still working together. Even after moving across the country, she kept showing up, kept putting in the work, and kept making herself a priority.

When she came back to visit for her birthday this week, it was really nice to see her in person again and look back at how far she’s come ❤️ appreciate you taking the time out of your visit to come by.

The photos tell part of the story, but they don’t tell all of it.

They don’t show the workouts she completed when she didn’t feel like it. They don’t show the days she chose to keep going instead of starting over. They don’t show the confidence she’s built, the knowledge she’s gained, or the fact that she genuinely enjoys going to the gym now.

One of my favourite things about this job is watching people realize they’re capable of more than they thought they were.

That’s exactly what I see when I look at these photos.

Not just a before and after.

A stronger, more confident version of someone who decided she was worth showing up for.

I’m incredibly proud of you, Amy and you should be proud of yourself too ❤️

Thank you for trusting me, for continuing to work with me after moving to Halifax, and for being such a wonderful person to coach.

And thank you for introducing me to another awesome Amy too 😊

We’re tracking more health data than ever before.

Steps. Sleep. Calories. Recovery scores. Heart rate. Stress levels.

But having more information doesn’t automatically mean making better decisions.

One of the biggest things I see with clients isn’t a lack of data—it’s not knowing which data actually matters, when to pay attention to it, and when to ignore it.

Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is stop chasing perfect numbers and focus on the habits that actually move the needle.

This week’s blog dives into wearables, fitness tracking, and why understanding your data is far more important than collecting it.

Happy Sunday!

I switched from an Apple Watch to an Oura Ring a while ago and ever since then I've had quite a few people ask me which one I like better...

The truth is, I don't think there's a clear winner. They both do some things really well, and the better choice honestly depends on what you want out of it.

In this week's blog, I break down the differences, what I like and dislike about each, and what the research says about their accuracy.

If you've been considering one (or trying to decide between the two), hopefully this helps!

Check it out below:

Trying to decide between the Oura Ring and Apple Watch? Learn the key differences in sleep tracking, recovery insights, workout features, accuracy, battery life, and everyday usability to determine which wearable is the best fit for your lifestyle and fitness goals.

People see a barbell sn**ch.

I see a client who started by asking me how to use the machines.

Years later, she’s asking if we can learn Olympic lifts.

That’s the kind of progress that doesn’t show up on a scale.

Strength changes more than your muscles. It changes the way you see yourself and what you believe you’re capable of.

That’s one of the reasons I love what I do.

New 15 Minute Lower Body Flow now on YouTube. 🧘‍♀️

This one is focused on improving mobility and flexibility through the hips, glutes, hamstrings, and lower back. It’s a great option if you’ve been sitting a lot, feeling stiff after workouts, or just want a quick movement session that helps you feel a little better in your body.

No fancy poses, no experience required, and you don’t need a lot of time. Just 15 minutes and a yoga mat.

Save it for later, give it a try this week, and let me know how it feels afterward. 💪

Welcome back to Yoga with Robyn! If you've just finished a heavy leg day, a long run, or an intense lower body workout, this 15-minute recovery flow is exact...
