St. Ann's Bay Recreational Trail Society SARTS was formed in November of 2018 by residents of the greater St. Ann's Bay area. The club was fo Club Objectives
1.

The St.Ann's Bay Recreational Trail Society has established the following objectives:
To work with the Nova Scotia Department of Lands & Forests and other levels of government,trail organizations and individuals to develop,maintain and operate environmentally friendly and sustainable multi use trail systems within the designated area in the greater St. Ann's Bay Area and to encourage a good neighb

or policy whenever possible.
2. To educate and promote the befits of the trails ina manner that will provide the maximum enjoyment and well being of local residents, visitors and trail users, and to endeavor to minimize the issues that may impact on adjacent property owners.
3. To communicate , cooperate and develop appropriate partnerships with other trail associations and stakeholders, and to explore additional linkages and opportunities in the establishment of other trail systems that will compliment a trail network throughout the region.
4. To promote a healthy lifestyle and foster an appreciation of the natural environment within the organization and the community at large.
5.To comply with all the relevant environmental legislation. Registry Number 3324216

The so-called Moonscape after the leveling work in late September/early October. As seen in the drone footage by Jim Eldridge, it's ready for multiple uses. Thank you Tom Holley for shooting this footage.
With the support of Victoria County and the Province of Nova Scotia approx 70 K was spent this year on trail improvements.

The Lewis Mountain Trail connects the Greater St. Ann's Bay Area with the Glen in Big Baddeck and is one of Victoria County's jewels.

We are excited to announce the official launch of the new signage at the Lewis Mountain Trail! This morning, community members came together to unveil the new sign at the trailhead, which provides visitors with useful information, maps, and insights into the history of our region.
