Why is getting your BJJ Blue Belt so significant?
It is only the second adult rank after white belt...
But it demands a massive investment of time, physical effort, and mental resilience that separates it from introductory ranks in most other martial arts.
Approx 50% to 90% of white belts quit before ever reaching their blue belt. Surviving this phase means you did not w**d yourself out.
Unlike other martial arts where belts are handed out every few months, a BJJ blue belt typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 years of consistent, rigorous training to achieve.
A blue belt indicates that you possess a fundamental understanding of the basics. At this level, you can generally defend yourself and out grapple a larger, stronger, but untrained opponent.
You go from pure survival chaos to knowing how to get out and stay in dominant positions.
From a statistical and personal growth stand point, we would say this is a pretty big deal!
Let's cheer on the ones testing this Wednesday at New Path and an hour long roll on Saturday with our team at Mixed Martial Arts
New Path is inviting all members and the community to watch the test!
