It is with very heavy heart that I have to share this sad news. We (Renee, Greg & Doug) will not be returning to Owenbrook for the 2021 season. After 40 years of being arguably the best mom & pop golf course in the area we will be closing the doors permanently. To all those familiar with Bruce McNichol know what this course meant to him. It was his little piece of paradise right here on earth. For almost 40 years he gave his blood, sweat and tears to the grounds that we have all enjoyed. Greg was right there along side Bruce for 20 of those years. Renee and I were a mere drop in the bucket at 3 years. Owenbrook is a magical place just like Bruce said it was. Generation after generation have learned to play golf at Owenbrook. The stories that echo across the fairways and at the clubhouse are endless. My story even begins at Owenbrook. Never played a game of golf before taking over running Owenbrook. My question to everyone that has had the privilege of playing at Owenbrook or knowing Bruce is, Would you please share your stories on this page and I will rename the page in memory of...... Or should I retire the page completely? I Know I speak for Greg, Renee, Myself and the rest of the McNichol family when I say Thank you to everyone for the memories. Best wishes and "Hit the green!"
