The deep freeze is over ! The deep freeze is over! And this can only mean one thing... Our "spring training" is coming and then...SHOW SEASON! You know... when you pack up just about everything and travel all over the place, all the while trying to keep track of all the little pieces among everyone ELSE'S little pieces.

Here in Central Ontario, we've had the first hint of what's coming...winter. And although tomorrow is supposed to be warm, the frost on the ground this weekend tells me that summer is most definitely gone.
One of the things I dislike the most about the cold weather is having to take my hand out of a nice warm mitten only to wrap it around my mare's cold metal bit. Better my hand than her mouth, sure... But ouch!

Did you know that there is a safer, easier way to wash bandages and polo wraps? A way that doesn't leave them in a tangled mess, firmly attached to the agitator of the washing machine?

Available at most retailers and even dollar stores, you can get zippered mesh bags. Intended for washing thinks like bras and nylons, these make GREAT wash bags for polos! Use one per icky-dirty-do-I HAVE-to-touch-this wrap, and you'll be saved the task of spending precious riding time undoing the Great Tangled Knot!

It's hard to believe, but summer is almost over and it's back to school... And schooling! Keep your tack area neat and tidy... It makes finding what you need faster and easier, and that translates into more saddle time!
