The Art of Transition 🌿

Thursday evenings are a beautiful opportunity to slow down, reset, and create space between the week that’s been and the days ahead.

Our Thursday 7:00 PM Restorative Yoga class is a gentle, supported practice designed to help the body soften, the breath settle, and the nervous system shift out of doing mode.

This week’s theme, The Art of Transition, invites us to explore how we can move through change with less resistance and more awareness.

Come as you are.
Bring your busy mind, tired body, or simply your need to pause.

Every Thursday | 7:00 PM
🧘 Restorative Yoga
🌿 Slow down. Soften. Reset.

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply allow ourselves to be supported.

17 Years Together

17 years of teaching yoga.

Three locations.
A pandemic.
Zoom classes.
New beginnings.
And so many people walking through the door.

And somehow, after all these years, my favourite part is still the same.

Watching you arrive…

Maybe tired. Maybe stressed. Maybe not really sure you feel like doing a class.

And then watching you leave — smiling, lighter, happier, more energized.

We’ve moved, adapted, rebuilt and kept moving together.

Do you remember your first class with me?
Where was it? What do you remember?

Tell me in the comments. I’d love to know. 🤍

17 years later, I’m still here.
And so are you.

Thank you for showing up — for yourselves, for each other, and for this community we’ve built together.

Here’s to whatever comes next.
We keep moving.

Sunday morning at the studio 🌿

I love opening the doors when everything is still quiet.

A little time with the flowers, a few things to put in place, and sometimes I catch myself talking to the plants like they’re part of the team. 🌸

Then, between classes, I take a little break at a local coffee shop — coffee in hand, watching the town wake up.

Nothing special. Just one of those slow Sunday mornings that makes me happy to have a studio here. 💚🤍

Some mornings just feel special. 🌊☀️

I love arriving at Wasaga Beach Yoga Wasaga Beach Yoga Studio early, when everything is still quiet — before the music, before the movement, before the room fills with energy.

I teach Hot Power Flow every Saturday at 8:30 AM, and this class is very personal to me. The sequence is inspired by the Ashtanga Primary Series — my very first love in yoga. ❤️ It’s where I learned to appreciate the rhythm of breath and movement, the discipline of practice, and how powerful a moving meditation can be.

When I first started teaching in Wasaga Beach, I had this feeling that I would find my people here — the kind of yogis who are curious, open, strong, willing to challenge themselves, but also know how to laugh and enjoy the journey.

And somehow, that’s exactly what happened.

I found my community. And I’m incredibly grateful for it. ❤️

See you Saturday morning on the mat. 🔥

One of my favourite ways to spend a long weekend is on a bike.

No workout plan. No pace to chase. No finish line.

Just quiet roads, beautiful views of Blue Mountain and Georgian Bay, and the simple joy of moving outdoors.

Today’s ride took us from Meaford to Angus along the rail trail—a route filled with peaceful scenery, fresh air, and plenty of moments to simply appreciate where we live.

As much as I love structured training, sometimes it’s nice to leave the watch behind and just ride.

This Civic Holiday weekend is a good reminder that movement doesn’t always have to be intense to be meaningful.

Fresh air, great views, a bike, and good company. That’s enough for me. 🚴‍♀️💙

How did you spend your long weekend?

Are your hips getting stiff?

It often happens so gradually that we don’t notice it—until everyday movements start feeling harder.

Here are 5 common signs:

✅ Putting on socks or shoes feels more difficult
✅ You feel stiff after sitting for a while
✅ Your squat isn’t as deep as it used to be
✅ Balancing on one leg feels challenging
✅ Your lower back feels tight more often

The good news?

Hip stiffness isn’t just an age thing. More often, it’s a movement thing.

Your hips are designed to move. When they don’t get enough variety of movement, they can become stiff, which may affect your balance, walking, posture, and even contribute to back discomfort.

A few minutes of mobility work each day can make a big difference.

Which sign sounds most like you? 👇

Save this post and come back to it later when your hips need a little extra attention.
