It feels like yesterday when I think back to my childhood on Christmas Eve. Today has always been my favourite day of the year. ⁣

The magical time spent with family and friends will forever be ingrained in my thoughts. ⁣

To see the excitement through my kids eyes and hearts is inexplainable and truly is a gift all in itself. This is a magical time 🪄 ✨⁣

I recently read a post from a new account I started following talking about how some people view selfishness in a negative manner. ⁣
⁣
Her quote that resonated the most with me was “that’s the problem with putting others first; you’ve taught them you come second” ⁣

Being selfish in certain ways should actually be respected by others, not looked down upon. ⁣
⁣
Don’t get me wrong. There’s definitely a time and place for this… and sometimes others DO come first. But the majority of the time, you should be prioritizing YOU, so YOU can be the best version of YOUrself to others🤍. ⁣
