It is Curling Day in Canada!
Our club will be open all day for anyone to drop in and see some curling. Our under age 9 and under age 15 teams will be playing against New Glasgow at 10 AM and 1 PM. At lunchtime there will be a draw-to-the-button contest amongst these young curlers
At around 5 PM the club will compete in the Curl Canada big shootout contest against all other clubs in Canada. This shootout will be live on YouTube.
Congratulations to Coleridge Shelley for being the first to pin a rock last night during our practice.

The Grey Cup championship game goes today at the Amherst Curling Club at 1:45 PM. Team Bob Sherrard from Thistle St. Andrews curling club in Saint John will play Team Michelle Armstrong from Lakeshore curling club in Lower Sackville.

The Grey Cup bonspiel runs this weekend, with the first games at 4:15 Friday. Twenty four teams from the maritimes will compete to be in the Grey Cup game Sunday at 1:45 PM. It is free to come and watch all weekend. A new champion team will be engraved on the cup!
