✨2026 Club Windup✨

Another curling season comes to an end. Thanks to the members, ice makers, food service provider and volunteers who contribute to the success of our club.

🏆 An exciting addition to this year’s windup was celebrating with a banner presentation for Zone 4 curling!

💰Many winners were announced from this seasons 200 club draw (see previous post)

🎉The finale of the night was the announcement that our club will be hosting the 2027 Bunge Men’s Provincial Championship in January 2027. This coincides with the 100th anniversary of our club to be celebrated in 2027. Stay tuned for more information on ways to get involved.

✨ CHEER ALERT ✨

🍀🥌 Sending wishes for good luck and good curling to the Kris Mazinke rink from our ACC Men’s League. They won zones, earning them a berth to compete in the 2026 Strathcona Trust Senior Men’s Provincial Championship at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club. Round robin games begin March 19 with finals on March 23.

ACC Junior League Champions (Grade 4-9) Griffin Siemens, Noah Wiebe, Maddox Peters, Jace Abrams.

Our youth wind up was held on Monday, March 16th with a great crowd enjoying a hotdog meal, hearing season highlights, and the granting of funds from the Terry Peters Junior Curling Legacy Fund.

Highlights:
💫This season we had 68 youth ACC members:
⭐️ 19 Little Rockers
⭐️ 32 Juniors
⭐️ 17 High Schoolers

💫Our juniors participated in various U13/U15 events in Winkler, Carman, Morris, Altona, Winnipeg, and Winter Games qualifiers.

💫InterClub afternoons continued with Winkler, Morden, and Carman youth.

💫London Friesen participated in the Manitoba Winter Games in Thompson representing the South region.

💫We quadrupled our High School teams and iced four teams, 2 girls and 2 boys. They each competed in 3 bonspiels in Morden, Manitou, and Portage. Team Friesen captured the girls Zone 4 title and had a great run at MHSAA Provincials, placing fourth in the province.

💫 The Terry Peters Junior Curling Legacy Fund granted its highest dollar figure to the most amount of participants to date. $1685 was given to 34 youth curlers who partook in youth bonspiels and Curl Manitoba Youth Curling Camps.

💫Thank you to each of our volunteer instructors for their time and knowledge sharing.

💫Thank you to our ice crew, Al, Terrell and Charles. We know how lucky we are to have you provide such fantastic ice conditions to learn the game.

💫Everyone one of these curlers advanced their skillsets and knowledge of the game. The future of curling is bright at ACC!

We hope to see you each back (and more) next season for our 100th year!
