There’s something pretty special about October at Mansfield. 🍁🍂

The hills may be green for now, but the fall colours are putting on a show of their own! From the brilliant reds and oranges to the incredible views across the countryside, it’s hard to imagine a more beautiful place to call our winter home. ❤️

And while we’re enjoying every bit of this autumn scenery, we can’t help but look forward to seeing these same hills covered in snow again! ❄️⛷️

If you’re planning to join us for lunch before the meeting, we need your RSVP TODAY (Friday, October 9th)! Your response helps us finalize our numbers and ensure we’re ordering the right amount of food for everyone attending.

Sunshine, friendly competition and a whole lot of ski racing spirit! ☀️🎿

Thank you to all the racers and families who joined us last Saturday for our first-ever Racer Challenge & Social! U14+ racers from clubs across Southern Ontario teamed up for fitness games and head-to-head challenges, bringing plenty of energy and team spirit along the way.

A big thank you to our sponsors, Skiis & Biikes and Cardinal Meats, and to the many volunteers who helped make the day happen!

🏆 Congratulations to our winning team “Lucky #7”: Liam Etherington, Noah Vachon, Anais Woo, Grayden Sinclair, Olivia McCague, Ella Hogan and Emma Ferguson! The bragging rights are yours until we meet again next fall. We’ll be cheering you on this winter!

🎿 Our AGM Member-to-Member Ski Swap is back on Saturday, October 17 🏂

Clear out those garages, basements and ski bags—or find a great deal before the snow flies! Members are invited to bring their gently used race gear, recreational skis, children’s equipment and snowboards to sell directly to other MSC families.

Have gear to sell? Submit your item details by October 10 so fellow members can browse and pre-shop ahead of the swap. You can also share your gear in the Club’s Member Buy & Sell Facebook Group. Both links are in our bio.

On AGM day, just bring your equipment along to the front Heritage Room in the Main Chalet —we’ll have tags for you to add your asking price and contact information.

A few reminders:
• All gear must be in good, usable condition.
• No used helmets or ski bindings more than 10 years old.
• Payment is arranged directly between buyers and sellers. Purchases cannot be charged to your MSC House Account.

Your family’s outgrown gear could be exactly what another MSC family needs!

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Mansfield for our AGM, Ski Swap & Fall Social on Saturday, October 17th.

Plan your day:

• 10:30 am: Doors open, the Social and Meet & Greet begins, and the Locker Room opens
• 10:30 am–3:00 pm: Member to Member Ski Swap in the front Heritage Room
• 11:00 am–12:30 pm: Seasonal buffet lunch (RSVP required)
• 12:45–2:00 pm: Hands on Exotics Animal Show in the Loft
• 1:00–2:00 pm: Annual General Meeting in the Vista Room

Lunch is $25+ for adults and children ages 11 and up, $10+ for children ages 4–10, and complimentary for ages 3 and under.

Please RSVP for lunch by Friday, October 9. The RSVP link is in yesterday’s Inside Edge member newsletter.

The Hearth Room and new Podium Bar will also be open from 10:30 am for guests 19+ wishing to purchase b**r or w**e.

Please note: Attendance at the Annual General Meeting is open only to full Senior Members of the Club in good standing. Trial and On-Hold Members are not eligible to attend the meeting.

We’re bringing country glamour to the slopes with rhinestones, big hair, western flair and outfits made to sparkle. Whether your style is head-to-toe denim, country diva or a little bit of bling everywhere, this is your chance to go all out!

When the lifts stop turning, trade your ski boots for dancing boots as music takes over the Main Chalet for the Ladies’ Day après party! 🎶

Program & Lesson Registration opens TOMORROW — Wednesday, September 23rd at 12:00 PM!

From children’s lessons, Racing and Freestyle to adult programs, there’s something for every age and ability at Mansfield. Early Bird Pricing is available until October 8th.

✨ NEW this season:
• Our Beginner/Novice Adult Program brings newer skiers together for Saturday mornings of skill building, confidence and the social side of skiing at Mansfield.
• We’ve added an 11:00 AM–1:00 PM session for Preschool Sliders on both Saturdays and Sundays, giving families with little ones another lesson-time option.

Our 10-week Children & Youth Programs begin January 2nd & 3rd, 2027, with additional December and March camps available.

❄️ Race & Freestyle families: Team jacket sizing orders are also due October 8th.

Not a member yet? Trial Memberships are still available for this season — and families who decide to become Full Members next spring will have the incredible opportunity to save $15,000 on initiation.

Ontario ski race clubs — you’re invited! Join us Saturday October 3rd for the Mansfield Racer Challenge & Social, open to all U14, U16, U19 & FIS racers from across Ontario.

Event teams will be mixed racers from across clubs, age groups and genders for a series of fun team challenges featuring running, strength, agility, teamwork and, of course, a little healthy ski-racer competition.

Afterwards, everyone will gather for a BBQ, DJ, social and awards with prizing generously donated by .

And there’s an even bigger reason to come out. ❤️ Funds raised through this event will support , a program that provides youth ages 12–16 who might not otherwise have access to skiing with a fully funded ski experience at Blue Mountain. Families will also have the opportunity to support Second Tracks by donating funds or gently used ski gear.

Event Timing:
* 9:30 - 10:00 am - Arrival/Registration
* 10:00 - 11:45 am - Challenges
* 11:45 am - 1:00 pm - BBQ/Social/Awards

Lunch includes your choice of hamburger, chicken or veggie burger, as well as a bag of chips, and pop or water. Gluten-free option available.

Athlete Pricing: $20+ event registration fee including lunch.

Guest Lunch: $15+ lunch (pre-ordering guest meals helps us to order food more accurately and to be able to donate more back to Second Tracks)

B**r and w**e will be available for purchase by those 19+ during the afternoon social.
