Our Ajax Baseball family is heartbroken by the sudden passing of one of our Rookie and Rallycap coaches, Chris Tyler. 💔
Chris was the Head Coach of the Navy Blue Thunder in U9 Rookie this season, coaching his daughter, Cadence. He also coached his son, Jase, in our Rally Cap division, sharing baseball with both of his kids. Under Chris’s leadership, Navy Blue held the top spot in Rookie throughout the season, losing only two games before finishing an incredible year as our 2026 U9 Rookie Champions. ⚾🏆
We were heartbroken to learn of his passing so soon after celebrating that championship together.
Those who coached alongside Chris remember a dedicated dad and coach who loved being involved in his kids’ sports and giving his time to the children he coached. His enthusiasm, kindness and commitment were evident throughout the season, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had him as part of our Ajax Baseball community.
Our deepest condolences go out to Chris’s wife, Paula, their children, Cadence and Jase, and all of his family, friends, players and fellow coaches during this incredibly difficult time.
Coach Chris will be deeply missed, and his 2026 Rookie Championship will forever be part of Ajax Baseball history. ❤️⚾
