Week 2 rained out 🌧️, but week 3 was a whirlwind 🌀! Here are the GEMS of the week, in the words of our Season 5 captains:
Maksuda Hafeez - Amethysts
Maksuda has been consistently coming to practices and it shows in games! She really stepped up and was able to handle 2B which is an intense position, and she was open to feedback and did an amazing job!
Yousra Qureshi - Emeralds
As a pitcher, Yousra kept the ball going, getting strike after strike. Her team didn’t even get the chance to sit down because she was so efficient!
Nazneen Patel - Garnets
Nazneen did an amazing job hustling at first base! She also did a wonderful job cheering the team on and was engaged the whole game!
Sarah Genco - Quartz
Sarah had a positive mindset and perservered throughout the game. Pitching is not an easy position, but she stay determined, kept her head up, and continued supporting her team every step of the way!
Naznin Patel - Rubies
Naznin was an all-arounder, she had amazing hits along with smart base running. She motivated her other teammates and truly elevated the game with her attitude.
Shahina Shaikh - Sapphires
Shahina said she wanted to play a position I hadn’t previously put her in, and really excelled at it!
Sheila Sharifi - Topaz
Sheila came to the game with positive energy and team spirit. She was amazing all-around in calling out plays for the team, hustling to get outs as shortstop, and was a solid base coach!
