A proud sight on the Fraser River...

The Clipper Pacific Dancer joins the Fraser River Challenge Expedition carrying paddlers from Glen Valley Regional Park in Abbotsford to kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) First Nation.

This 30-day expedition brought together swimmers, paddlers and a 1,000-kilometer walker to build support for protecting 30% of the Fraser Rivershed by 2030, with First Nations leading conservation work on the ground.

We’re proud to see a Clipper canoe taking part in this meaningful journey along one of British Columbia’s most important waterways.

Look out on to the Fraser River today and you might see something very special:

Did you spot something special on the Fraser River today?

Today marks the launch of the 2026 Pulling Together Canoe Journey. Over the next five days, participants will travel the traditional waterways connecting First Nations communities throughout the region, camping along the way and sharing in culture, learning, and community.

This journey supports ongoing reconciliation efforts and fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indigenous cultures, histories, and traditions.

We wish all participants a safe and memorable journey.
