CANFKO operates through a circular committee structure, where each organization is represented by one member, and each member holds one vote in decision-making.

The purpose of CANFKO is to establish an organization under the umbrella of the World Full Contact Karate Organization (WFKO), the largest full-contact karate organization in the world. CANFKO will be seeking representatives in the United States and Mexico to complete the North American region. This will allow for the creation of NAFKO—the North American Full Contact Karate Organization—and prepare the groundwork for a selection tournament leading to the next WFKO World Championships.
