🌊 IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN! 🤿🎓🇧🇿

The materials are being ordered, preparations are underway, and Splash Dive Center is getting ready to welcome our next group of PADI IDC Candidates!

Our Belizean candidates have been busy completing their requirements, and we already have 7 candidates beginning their PADI eLearning this week! 👏👏👏

But there is still time to join us.

🌴 WHY NOT BECOME A PADI DIVE INSTRUCTOR IN BELIZE?

If you are already a Divemaster and have been thinking about taking that next step, this may be your time.

Our IDC is designed to give candidates plenty of preparation before the Instructor Examination. We combine eLearning, online classes with our PADI Course Director, and intensive in-person training, allowing us to spend as much time as possible practicing the skills, presentations, theory and standards you will need for the IE.

🎓 PADI Instructor Examination: October 11 & 12

A huge thank you to the SSS Network Belize team for welcoming us into the chamber, refreshing our knowledge on DCS/DCI, and giving us a closer look at how hyperbaric treatment works. 🤿

As divers, we’re all susceptible to decompression illness, but there’s a lot we can do before, during and after a dive to help reduce our risk. Understanding the signs, knowing how to respond, and continuing to educate ourselves are all part of becoming safer divers.

Diving remains an incredibly safe and rewarding sport when we respect our training, our limits and the science behind it.

We hope you never need a hyperbaric chamber, but if you ever do, the team at SSS Network Belize will have you in very good hands.

It’s Shark Week, so we asked our team and some of the Splash Dive Center team one very important question: What sound does a shark make? 🦈🔊

Their answers were… creative. Some were quite questionable, and now we’re not entirely sure what kind of sharks our crew have been diving with. 😂

Regardless, we can promise you great diving with the real sharks here in Belize. What they sound like? We’ll leave that up to your interpretation.

After years of relying on single-use plastic, it’s time for us to make a better choice for the ocean we love.

As part of Belize Pro Dive Center’s conservation efforts, we’re working toward eliminating single-use plastics from our tours. We’re starting by phasing out water pouches and encouraging every guest to bring a reusable bottle. Fresh drinking water and refills are available throughout your dive or tour.

Forgot your bottle? No worries. Our new collapsible BPDC bottles are available at the shop, easy to pack, perfect for the boat, and a useful little piece of Belize to take home with you. Every purchase helps support our ongoing conservation efforts.

Small changes add up. Refill, reuse, and help us protect Belize above and below the surface. 🌊♻️🐢

🦈 Shark Awareness Day in Belize 🇧🇿🌊

Sharks are not the villains of the ocean, they are vital to it.

Here in Belize, we are incredibly fortunate to share our waters with species such as Caribbean reef sharks, nurse sharks, bull sharks, and even the magnificent whale shark. These incredible animals help keep our marine ecosystems healthy, balanced, and thriving.

For us, shark awareness is more than just one day. It is about replacing fear with understanding, respecting wildlife, protecting habitats, and making sure future generations can experience the same incredible encounters we are privileged to have today.
