“Craven & the Bobbleheads” is a unique group from the Western town of San Ignacio, Belize with a taste for Hip Hop, Rap, Reggae and other genres. Officially meeting up in 2015, they began working on building up the group’s talents and perfecting an original sound. The exotic country of Belize currently encourages many forms of art to emerge and thus the Bobbleheads were born with Craven Topsey pla
ying role as group leader. Craven Topsey discovered his appreciation for music at the early ages of adolescence along with his older brother Amiel Topsey. After losing his father at the age of 8, he looked to music as his mentor and continued to find inspiration from various parts of the world with the support of Consultant/mother Cynthia Ellis Topsey. New Orleans, Alabama, Guyana, and Buffalo are some of the regions that influenced the direction of his music. The sprouting artist returned to homeland and eventually crossed paths with Felon through the Peace Corp in 2008 where they both picked up the acoustic guitar. IDEK and LINX (guitarist) joined later in 2015 when the group was formed after their first song won a contest. A year later more musicians took notice and began working with the group and Jose Barrera (drummer/guitarist) joined as well as Amiel Topsey (musician/sketch artist). Today they appeal to both local and international audiences making collaborations in Buffalo, Belgium, and Mexico.
