Will China cease its support of the destructive EACOP project and invest in community-led renewables?
40 million people who depend on Lake Victoria could be directly impacted if the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) is built.
The EACOP project has faced fierce opposition from impacted communities and activists because of the numerous human rights violations, loss of livelihood and destruction of the environment.
27 banks and 29 insurance firms have already publicly distanced themselves from the EACOP project, for environmental, social, and human rights reasons.
Please engage with communities and prioritise distributed renewable energy solutions.

Adam’s Calendar, South Africa
This 75,000-year-old ruins site is also affectionately known as the ‘African Stonehenge’. Predating both the ‘actual’ Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids of Giza by tens of thousands of years, the discovery of Adam’s Calendar in 2003 was a complete accident, by a South African pilot. It is thought to be the oldest man-made structure on Earth. It is the only completely functional, megalithic stone calendar that is almost perfectly whole. African Shamans have called it ‘Inzalo Y’langa’, which means ‘Birthplace of the Sun’.

Algorithm We hear a lot about algorithms these days. They are used to churn people into buying, following, “friending” machines is well established. Supposedly they “know” your likes and dislikes based upon data collected from what you search for, watch, read, respond to, and follow-on Internet. In addition, there is the capacity to know what you do on your device, if you like/comment the photo that Windows shows you upon opening, what you search for, call, buy, comment on, and like in online stores....
