the joint EU-UNDP project “Supporting the Republic of Belarus in Addressing Irregular Migration and Promoting Human Rights of Vulnerable Migrants”, which is also co-funded and co-implemented by State Border Committee of Belarus, IOM, UNHCR, and ICMPD. The main target of the project is to improve the capacities of the State Border Committee of Belarus (SBC) in addressing irregular migration and pro

moting vulnerable migrants’ rights (asylum-seekers, victims of trafficking, unaccompanied minors, etc.). Project objectives:

- To support SBC in its efforts to modernize the border personnel recruitment and training system in line with the EU IBM good practices, norms and standards, as well as to enhance the infrastructure and technical capacity of the specialized Training Centre for border guard personnel.
- To improve institutional and technical capacity of the Psychological Support Service (PSS) of the SBC.
- To introduce procedures to prevent and respond to issues of sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) / THB among and towards migrants, as well as develop mechanisms for the provision of legal and social assistance to SGBV victims through an NGO network. The main information:
