Lobatse SVM COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EVENT- 15/11/25
The day’s activities were held under the inspiring theme, “Every time we liberate a woman, we liberate a man.”
The event started with a health walk from Lobatse Sports Complex to Old Lobatse Stadium. It was attended by different stakeholders- Lobatse Police, BNSC, Botswana Council For Disabled, Mensector, RenaLeSeabe, Diagnofirm, Lobatse WASBO, SOFA Women's Representative and the general community members.
The Guest Speaker ACP E.Z Olopeng from Lobatse Police shared statistics aligned to gbv- assault, murder, su***de etc and encouraged attendees to improve their communication between- parents & children, families and community. He further urged Lobatse community to engage in powerful conversations and initiatives promoting gender equality, empowerment, and community. development for all.
