An absolute honor to share the mats today for a karate training session with General Mophuting, Commander of the Botswana Defence Force.

True mastery is a lifelong journey, and today’s session was a powerful masterclass in focus, humility, and the relentless pursuit of perfection. Seeing such high-level dedication in action serves as an inspiration to every karateka, reminding us that the strength of a warrior is built through consistent discipline and a dedicated spirit.

It was a particularly special occasion to have our Chief Instructor, Sensei Socca Moruakgomo, present. The bond between these two practitioners spans decades, having trained together back in 1986 during the formative years of KSI Botswana.

To see that same passion and discipline burning bright nearly 40 years later is a testament to the enduring power of our art. Deep gratitude to the General for sharing his time with us.

What an incredible experience for the team at our 3-day Gashuku in South Africa! 🇿🇦 We had the immense privilege of training under the legendary Shihan Lionel Marinus, who not only focused on standardizing our technique but also shared a wealth of profound wisdom about the art of Karate.

Our students had an invaluable opportunity to interact and learn alongside karatekas from all over the world, making it a truly global learning experience. The level of instruction and the chance to train with such diverse talent was immense!
It was tough work, but it was also a ton of fun and forged some unforgettable memories and stronger team bonds. Huge thanks to Shihan Marinus and everyone who made this trip so rewarding! Oss! 🥋
