Roadblock at 40.3km(Nirkhola) is expected to take two more days to open. The slip over burden and falling boulders is hampering work. It is risky for people to cross on foot so a bypass foot path is cleared above the block point for trans shift. Therefore, requested RO to inform general public on the situation for travel plan.
Inconvenience caused highly regretted.
Thank you.

A 32-year-old Indian tourist from Sindhudurg district in Maharashtra remains missing more than three weeks after the motorcycle he was riding veered off the road and plunged into the Punatsangchhu River below Wangdue Dzong on July 11.

The man had travelled alone to Bhutan for a six-day visit scheduled from July 1 to 6 but later extended his stay until July 11.

On the morning of his departure, he was involved in the accident, prompting an extensive search operation.

Despite weeks of intensive efforts by the relevant authorities and rescue teams, he has yet to be found.

The search has been hampered by the river's strong currents and challenging conditions. Authorities continue to monitor the situation.
