Pritam Gurung, born on 9 June 2014 in Tendruk, Samtse, is a young para-swimmer currently studying in Class 5 at Tendruk Central School. He recently began training in para swimming, approaching the sport with focus and enthusiasm.

Though still early in his athletic development, Pritam has shown steady commitment during training, building both skill and confidence with each session.

The Bhutan Paralympic family is pleased to support emerging athletes like Pritam as they grow through sport, and looks forward to following his progress in the seasons ahead.

We invite the community to support Pritam Gurung as he takes his place among Bhutan’s next generation of para athletes.

We’re delighted to share that Mr. Tashi Jamtsho represented Bhutan at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Annual Classification Meeting — a valuable opportunity for growth and learning.

Sharing his thoughts, Mr. Tashi said: “This was not my dream to be here, but yes, I stand here today for the pride and trust placed in me. I believe this meeting will help me work harder for my organisation. Thank you, Bhutan Paralympic Committee.”

His humility and dedication remind us that growth often starts with someone else’s trust — and what we build from it can inspire an entire community.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐢 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐦𝐨: 𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 ✌️

Ms. Chimi Wangmo is the newest name to join the Bhutan Paralympic Committee's para-archery family. Just 18 years old and hailing from Guma Luna village in Barp Gewog, Punakha, Chimi is currently a class IX student at Chundu Armed Force School in Haa — balancing schoolwork with the early days of a brand-new sporting journey.
She began training in para-archery in August 2025, and while she is yet to undergo formal classification, that milestone is simply the next step in a path that has only just begun.
Training at school under the guidance of coach Ms. Sherab Zam, Chimi is only months into holding a bow, yet she has already found her place among the BPC's newest hopefuls. Every champion begins with a single arrow, and Chimi's story is just getting started. The BPC welcomes her warmly to the family and looks forward to watching her grow, shot by shot, season by season.

The Bhutan Paralympic Committee is pleased to announce the successful completion of today’s Pre-Games Anti-Doping Awareness Education Session, held for our para-athletes and officials in preparation for the upcoming Asian Para Games in October, 2026.

The session offered valuable insights and practical guidance on anti-doping principles, reinforcing our collective commitment to fair play, integrity, and clean sport within the para-sporting community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Bhutan Anti-Doping Committee for generously sharing their expertise and time to educate and inspire our athletes and officials. Your continued partnership and support play a vital role in upholding the values of clean and fair competition.
