PROJECT 108 – Building 108 Jangchub Chortens for GMC
Project 108 is a historic national initiative dedicated to the construction of 108 Jangchub Chortens (Stupas of Enlightenment) in Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC). The project aims to complete all 108 chortens in a single coordinated day, symbolizing unity, devotion, and collective service to the nation.
In Buddhism, the number 108 represents spiritual completeness and enlightenment. These chortens will stand as enduring symbols of peace, compassion, wisdom, and harmony for generations to come.
To support this noble cause, motorbike clubs across Bhutan have joined hands in a nationwide fundraising effort. Club leaders and treasurers will coordinate donations within their respective clubs, while individual riders and supporters may contribute directly through the designated bank account.
Gen Z Riders Bhutan is proud to stand alongside fellow motorcycle clubs in contributing to this meaningful initiative. As young riders committed to community service and nation-building, we are honored to play our part in supporting the construction of the 108 Jangchub Chortens and helping preserve Bhutan’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
