Monsoon in Bhutan.
The mountains become lush and vibrant, the forests come alive in countless shades of green and the air feels fresh and pure. The season offers a unique way to explore the country, revealing a quieter, greener and more peaceful side of Bhutan. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡น

A few friends and I went on a short nature hike. Along the way, I introduced them to a few of the wellness activities I offer to international guests visiting Bhutan.

The highlight of our day was what I like to call spring water therapy. After the hike, we soaked our feet in a cool mountain spring and it was exactly the therapy we needed.

Bhutan, a.k.a. the Land of Medicinal Herbs. Growing up, our parents and grandparents always told us that these mountain springs carry natureโ€™s healing properties.

It was a beautiful reminder that nature has always been one of our greatest healers. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒˆ

I have been asked quite a few times, โ€œWhat is yoga therapy?โ€ and โ€œHow is it different from a general yoga practice?โ€

Yoga therapy is the professional application of yoga tools and techniques, adapted to the individual, for the promotion of health and well-being.

I use yoga to work therapeutically with clients or individuals who have specific health conditions or issues. I am trained to work safely within the scope of my practice when an individual has a particular condition or issue that yoga can help with.

Yoga therapy can complement and support the work that medical doctors are already doing. My role is not to replace medical treatment, but to complement it. I use yoga tools that support the individual and work within the scope of my practice. We are trained to do this work safely.

Your body remembers what your mind has learned to forget. When the mind is overwhelmed, the body often whispers through tension, fatigue, pain or restlessness.

A tight jaw.
Raised shoulders.
A shallow breath.
A racing heart.

These arenโ€™t weaknesses.
They are messages.

Stress, grief, fear and even joy, leave traces in the body: in our breath, our posture, our muscles and our nervous system.

When we slow down, breathe deeply and move with awareness, we give our nervous system the opportunity to remember something it may have forgotten:

โ€œI am safe.โ€

With time and patience, we gently teach the body that the danger has passed.
That this moment is different.
That it is safe to soften.

Every mindful movement is a conversation between the body and the brain.
And with consistency, the body begins to trust again.

Yoga doesnโ€™t teach us to fight the body.
It teaches us to listen, to meet ourselves exactly where we are, and to come home to ourselves.

You would probably think I am lying if I said this is where I feel most alive and most genuine.

Yes, there are moments that break my heart. Sometimes itโ€™s difficult to witness the pain, the waiting and the quiet resilience in their eyes.

But every visit reminds me that a simple cuddle, a warm hug, a gentle touch, a kiss or a little extra kindness can mean the world to someone who cannot ask for it.

I always leave feeling as though I have received far more than I have given. These beautiful souls continue to teach me about compassion, gratitude and unconditional love in the quietest, most profound ways. โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

Bhutan Well-Being Retreat | June 2027 ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง˜

Imagine beginning your day surrounded by the peaceful Himalayan mountains. Move mindfully through a gentle morning yoga practice, breathe in the fresh mountain air and end your evening with the soothing sounds of Tibetan singing bowls.

I am delighted to share that in June 2027, I will be leading a special Bhutan Well-Being Retreat in collaboration with Yogaferien.ch (Switzerland).

This retreat is much more than a holiday. It is an invitation to slow down, reconnect and experience Bhutan through mindfulness, nature, culture and compassion.

Throughout our journey together, we will explore yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls and mindful moments immersed in nature. Each experience has been thoughtfully designed around the people, the place and the natural rhythm of the journey. My hope is to create space for you to reconnect with yourself, restore balance and simply be.

Beyond the practices, I hope to share Bhutan through my own eyes. Not only its breathtaking landscapes and rich traditions, but also the compassion that is woven into everyday life. Through my work with children, local communities and rescued animals, I have come to appreciate that healing often begins with simple acts of presence, kindness and connection. These experiences continue to shape and inspire the way I teach, serve, and live.

Together, we will experience:
๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ Daily yoga practices
๐Ÿซ Breathwork and meditation
๐Ÿ”” Tibetan singing bowl sound healing
๐ŸŒฟ Mindful moments in nature
๐Ÿ”๏ธ Authentic cultural experiences
๐Ÿพ Opportunities to learn about Bhutanโ€™s compassion for animals and community initiatives
๐Ÿ’› A thoughtfully curated journey from the moment you wake until you rest each evening

If your heart is longing for a journey that invites you to slow down, reconnect, and simply be, this retreat is for you.

More details and registration will be shared soon. We look forward to welcoming you on this meaningful journey.

Gokab Summer Camp 2026 ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป
Together with these amazing kids, we had a wonderful yoga session where we explored yoga through animal and nature-inspired movements and poses, practiced balloon breathing (which almost every child loves), enjoyed a short guided visualization and shared so much laughter, curiosity, conversations, questions and answers and the warmest hugs. ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿฅฐ

Thank you to the community for inviting me to be part of this yearโ€™s Summer Camp. It was an absolute joy to share this moment with all of you. ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿป๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป๐Ÿค
