IAAF BTC World Relays Bahamas

IAAF BTC World Relays Bahamas April 22 and April 23 will no doubt be toted as two of the most exciting days in the recent history o The Event will be held at the Thomas A.

• In 2017 the IAAF/BTC World Relays would be held for three consecutive editions in Nassau.
• The Bahamas is the first and only country to ever host this Event. Robinson Stadium.
• The IWR? BTC BAH 2017 would be included in the IAAF World Athletics Series of events.
• This Event will bring the best in the world. It is expected that most medalists from 2016 Olympics will be present.
• The followin

g relay races will be held for both men and women: 4x100m, 4x200, 4x400m, 4x800m. For the first time a mixed gender 4x400m event would be held.
• The 2017 IAAF/BTC World Relays will serve as a qualifying competition for the 2017 IAAF World Championships.
• A Junior Programme with athletes from The Bahamas will be held both days prior to the IAAF/BTC World Relays 2017.
• The entire Event will be broadcast by the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas. It is expected that The Bahamas will have significant television coverage for this Event.
• 30,000 spectators are expected to attend the IAAF/BTC World Relays 2017.
• Hosting the Event will require 500 events volunteers and 100 organizing committee volunteers.
