In 2016, I got a call from a production company working on a project called One Strange Rock for the National Geographic Channel. They said they were interested in our work in the caves of Abaco as part of a storyline for their documentary (I've now worked on 26 different television and film documentaries in the caves of the Bahamas).
They said they wanted me to put together an underwater film crew that I could work in the caves with safely, and bring home some incredible high-definition video images. I said, 'I get to pick the crew?". They said "Yup, we'll leave that up to you".
Here they are. My Camera, AC, Lighting and Cave Model. We've all worked on other projects together both before and after this with other highly talented film makers and underwater crew, but this was a very special shoot.
How lucky am I that I get to make underwater cave movies with my friends, make some money and promote the conservation of underwater caves all at the same time?
Due to new permitting requirements here, we probably won't be doing many more of them, but it was a great run while it lasted.
