The pandemic and the further disaster that ensued from it caused the whole world a great deal of suffering, especially the innocent people whose loved ones lost their lives. It is our responsibility to the community to stand united in the battle against this invisible enemy. As future threats emerge against human beings, the IKU philosophy and policy will always be to help communities around the world to stand strong and powerfully against them. Unity is deep and it is essential for the well-being of our species.

After having to cancel our activities around the world due to the pandemic, June 5th, was the first time in two years that we were able to hold an event. It was wonderful to be able to start to have annual Dan promotions again, with both integrity and honor.

I look forward to further events abroad and overseas, as we expand into new countries and develop more organizations under the IKU philosophy. To teach and promote Mas Oyama’s Karate…Kyokushin karate, the only style of full contact karate.
