For the past two weeks, I’ve had the privilege of leading an ADCC preparation camp in Warsaw.
It was the first time we’d organized a camp in this format, and the first time we’d brought together such a large group of truly world-class grapplers. Over the peroid of two weeks, around 50 athletes from 10 different countries stepped onto the Gorila mats — including five current world champions, three ADCC finalists, and athletes competing in ONE, UFC and Polaris.
The sessions I coached twice a day were focused specifically on adapting to the ADCC ruleset. We worked through the most critical positions and scenarios, with a strong emphasis on situational training, specific tasks and tactics.
Fortunately, we made it through the entire camp without any major injuries. Now, the real test is less than a month away.
A huge thank you to everyone who accepted the invitation and trusted me with their preparation. It was both a serious challenge and a real privilege for me to lead this camp.
Good luck to everyone in the upcoming competitions — see you on the mats!
