Our biggest congratulations to Asenathi Jim and Roger Hudson for their incredible performances in the Rio Olympic Games.

We're so proud of them and everything that they have achieved.

Asenathi Jim & Roger Hudson have produced some amazing results in the preliminaries so far. They've risen steadily from 24th to 11th.

Tonight they aim to finish in the top 10, to compete in the upcoming Medal Race. Make sure to catch their races at 18.05, 19.30 and 20.55 tonight.

Roger Hudson & Asenathi Jim will be competing this evening at 18:05 in Race 8 of 10 of the preliminary events.

They've been making wonderful progress so far, and are currently ranked 11th. Don't miss this exciting next step in their push for the medal race.

And so the Southern Charter UCT Maverick Lipton 2016 campaign draws to a close and after a week of fantastic sailing, unforgettable laughter and new friendships formed, we are extremely proud with our 7th place overall.

We cannot thank our sponsor, Southern Charter enough for making our entry and campaign possible and to Buff South Africa and Second Skins for keeping us warm.

Congratulations must go to Royal Cape Yacht Club for absolutely dominating the regatta on every level and a massive thank you to the Lipton Challenge CUP race committee and organisational team, it truly was a great regatta!

We will see you again next year! 💥

As our Southern Charter UCT Maverick team prep for Lipton Challenge Cup, starting this Friday, here's a little throwback and motivation from last year's triangle race that they managed to win! Watch this space for more updates from the team :)

Much better performance today from team UCT Maverck. Pulling out a 1st in a medium Northerly. Race track was set off milnerton and sunset making the inshore game an important one to play.
Hopefully we can keep up the hard sailing.
