A mindblowing project is finished and a new Highline world record is the result! On the 9th of August 2014 Landcruising Teamathlete Julian Mittermaier crossed the 224m long Highline named "Gift" in Mauvoisin, Val de Bagnes, Switzerland. Supported by a powerful team consisting of the Highliners: Thomas Buckingham, Peter Auer, Harald Höglinger and Nicolas Sedlatchek he was able to walk the 200m high Highline onsight in about 40 minutes. The Highline had the typical "Mittermaier tension" which resulted in a huge sag of about 10,5m. Congratulations to Julian for this outstanding masterpiece. The Highline was rigged with the Landcruising Aeon dyneema webbing, attached to the Zilla 2 and Zilla 3 webbing anchors, the Sensei pulley system (upgraded with the Petzl ID) and an Atlas 2 rigging plate, creating the masterpoint. Anchorpoint was the rail of the dam. Big Thanks also to Nicoals Sedlatchek for these spectacular pictures and the little teaser:
