HOW I CHANGED MY LIFE (With one decision)...⁣⁣⁣

Do you see this photo? It was taken 2 weeks ago, while I was on vacation in Brazil. It was a beautiful and sunny day!⁣⁣⁣

I enjoyed as much as I could. I enjoyed the weather, the swimming pool, my family, the food...everything. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
But that wasn’t always my reality.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
For many years of my life I struggled with self esteem and lack of confidence.⁣ I would never wear just a swimsuit like the one in this picture.⁣⁣⁣

I was so skinny and used to feel so ashamed of my body. I believed that I wasn’t good enough and the fear of rejection was always there. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

It was something that I fought for many years of my life, in silence, pretending that I was ok, that the pain didn’t exist.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
It was like that until I DECIDED that I’ve had enough and it was time to change!⁣⁣⁣

The changes started happening when I understood that I was great the way I was, and if there was something I wanted to change, I could do so. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

All the crappy thoughts about myself, all the shame, the negativity... started to fade away. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
It was when I started working on myself, not only the mental, but also the physical aspect. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣I was finally free and my mind was in the right place.⁣⁣⁣⁣

You can always change for the better. You just need to decide that you want that. Everything starts with a decision.⁣⁣⁣⁣

I learned that it was a journey where I had to be the guide and not the catalyst.⁣⁣⁣⁣

We only have 45 days left until 2020 is over. What are you doing to make it count? ⁣

I’m sure we can all agree that 2020 has been an “unorthodox” year and that it caught all of us off guard. ⁣

We all had to adapt to a new lifestyle and more than ever, it became way easier to fall off track.⁣

At the beginning of the year you probably wanted to do things like:⁣

* Travel to that destination you were postponing ⁣
* Finish that big project ⁣
* Start working out; get in shape⁣
* Start eating healthier ⁣
* Invest more in yourself etc⁣

I can’t say you can travel to that dream destination right now, but what about things that you have control over, like that big project or starting to workout out and eat healthier? ⁣

2020 was a weird year, but it also gave you an opportunity to invest more in yourself. ⁣

How are you using your time? ⁣

Tomorrow, don’t just make that loose promise to yourself that you’ll get there. Set a time and block off everything else. Then, before you go to bed, set what time you’re going to workout again the next day, and the next day.⁣

Self-development is a practice.⁣

Make it a habit. That’s all it takes.⁣

Introducing Milo, the new member of the fam! 🐶 ⁣

Milo is a toy poodle. He’s Brazilian, but we just brought him to Canada. Not sure if he’ll enjoy the cold weather more than the tropical weather he had in Brazil! I hope so 😅⁣

5 simple steps to lose weight in a sustainable way 💪🏻⁣

It’s the beginning of the week and I wanted to drop some practical tips so you can start the process of losing weight today! 🔥⁣

First of all, don’t complicate it.⁣

People tend to over complicate things...🤔⁣

Plus with all the misinformation and scammers out there trying to scare you so you can buy their “magic solution” to lose weight, you can be easily misguided, followed by frustration that leads you to fail and quit.⁣

I’m here to help you. I’m here to uncomplicate fat loss. 😃⁣

Here are 5 easy steps that you need to follow to start losing weight:⁣

1. Eat protein with every meal. This will help you with satiety and will increase thermogenesis (your body requires more energy to digest protein, increasing the calories used in the process)⁣
2. Try to base your diet with 80% of whole foods. Include more veggies and greens. Aim for complex carbs rather than simple carbs.⁣
3. The goal is to fuel your body as much as you can while still eating in a caloric deficit. This is the only way to lose weight. You need to eat less calories than you expend. ⁣
4. Drink more water. Majority of the people I work with had no idea how little water they were having in a day. A good general amount of water would be 3 litres per day.⁣
5. Resistance training will help you burn more fat by increasing your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) while giving your body the stimulus to build lean mass, which will get you toned, therefore improving metabolism.⁣

Nothing complicated or super hard to put into practice. ⁣

I guarantee you that if you start implementing these 5 steps you will start losing weight! ⁣

❗️This is how I changed my life❗️

When I stopped worrying about the outcome and focused on the process I was able to build the discipline required to achieve my goals.

In the beginning, I started working out because I hated my body. I wanted to change it so badly.

I wanted to see the scale showing me numbers that I expected to see... and I would hate myself if I didn’t see those numbers.

Then the process became a burden... it was so hard to achieve the results I wanted. It seemed an impossible task.

That’s because I was doing it the wrong way.

It was only when I shifted my mindset that I was able to achieve real results.

I started focusing on building better and sustainable habits. It was when I realized that I only needed to be better than yesterday.

That new mindset allowed me to build the discipline required to eat better, train better and become a better person.

That’s because I started loving and enjoying the process of becoming a better version rather than focusing on a specific result.

Not only did I improve my physique and overall health but my life in general.

I was more focused, more disciplined, and more determined to achieve anything I wanted to.

Let me tell you this... the numbers on the scale don’t reflect who you are. It only reflects a situation.

Who you are is determined by the actions you take to change the situation you’re in.

Fall in love with the process of taking care of and loving yourself and this will change your life forever!

How many times did you quit because you were not seeing results? Be honest with yourself.⁣

Achieving an outstanding physique is not done by what you can accomplish in a day, but rather how many quality days you can string together.⁣⁣

There are going to be days where you don’t want to show up and workout.⁣⁣

Have you ever given up on something you were doing because of a single small mistake? ⁣

When starting a fitness journey, most people aim for perfection. They will follow 100% of their diets and workouts for a couple of weeks and they will feel like doing that forever...⁣

That’s great until the first hit... ⁣

You skip one day of dieting, then you skip two days, and the natural course of this cycle is feeling guilty followed by “that’s not for me, I quit.”⁣

Can you relate?⁣

Here’s what I’m trying to say...⁣

One year from now, you won’t care if you skipped a few workouts or didn’t follow your diet 100%... you will care about the results.⁣

Achieving your fitness goals requires patience, hard work, discipline and consistency.⁣

It doesn’t require perfection.⁣

And yet that’s the thing that throws so many people off track.⁣

Yes, you do need to follow your nutrition and workout plans as much as you can, however, you don’t have to be perfect!⁣

Focus on doing your best in every situation and don’t take long to forgive yourself when things fall off a bit.⁣

You can always get back on track! ⁣

Not only do we all have different personalities, different goals, different styles, but we all respond differently to different situations.⁣

Those who know me well, know that I don’t need motivation to hit the gym and lift heavy s**t. That’s because I’ve built discipline.⁣

I also understand that some people want to exercise but have the difficulty finding drive, motivation, or reasons to do so. ⁣

For those people, putting discipline into practice to get them walking 10 minutes everyday is progress. ⁣

I’m not saying those people shouldn’t strive for more, because we all should do that. ⁣

Progress is not only measured by muscle gain or fat loss, numbers or quantifiable data.⁣

Progress is also measured in mental, emotional and behavioral changes.⁣

One of my core beliefs and something I teach my clients is: If you want to change your physique, first you need to change your mindset. If you don’t change that first, any other change or improvement will be short lived.⁣
