Congratulations to my 🦁Capoeira Narahari munchkins! I finally mailed out these hard-earned certificates and belts today. Preparing each belt, smiled as I remembered how each student grew in so many dimensions over the last several months. Their resilience and patience over Zoom was also admirable. It wasn't always smooth or straightforward but everyone always brought their best vibes and made it special and unique. The youngest at 3 yrs and oldest at 10, I learned a lot from these awesome, joyful kiddos. It was an enriching experience learning how to best connect and share and educate using new methods. I look forward to seeing everyone in the new year but I am definitely appreciating the time to rest over these holidays.
All the families I've met through teaching have made it feel so gratifying, sharing their homes and lives through the screens. I feel truly grateful for each and every person that has participated in this community.
Thanks to Mestre Beiçola for imparting heavy knowledge that I hasn't realized I'd absorbed until I was applying and teaching it. It also turns out I've absorbed his sense of humor and sound effects while teaching. 🤷🏾♀️
Also a big shout out to my awesome parents for supporting my unconventional (and noisy) lifestyle, giving me a soft landing after I was forced to relocate and their patience listening to Ziriguidum 10x a week for the past 8 months.
