For the past two thousand kilometers we had the ocean or a river close to us while cycling through Uruguay and southern Brazil. Sadly a couple of days ago we had our last beach stop and will only see the ocean again in about three thousand kilometers...

This is what happens when you rely on South American Ferry service: You‘ll end up taking a huge detour or pushing and pulling your bike across the beach. Trying to save on kilometres we took the second option and pushed our bicycles one after the other over the loose sand...

Being fed up with countless punctures and a fortune spend on tubes we have finally changed to tubeless tires. Our old tires just made it to Montevideo, especially the ones from the trailer gave us troubles from day one. Thanks to and their friendly staff for the help and advice.
