At DEFI WING 2026 — 4 podiums in a row for the Gaastra Wingfoiling  team!

What an incredible performance from Maddalena Spanu , Nicoló Spanu and Sasha Lethuiller, taking on nearly 700 riders — including many of the world’s best — and delivering a truly dominant display all event long.

🥇 Maddalena takes the Women Overall title
🥇 Nicolò wins both the Overall and Wing categories
🥉Sasha, only 15 years old, finishes 3rd in U19 and an impressive 11th overall

By controlling almost every race from start to finish, they proved not only how strong and talented this team is, but also how incredibly fast and competitive the brand-new JET Race really is.

A huge congratulations to all three riders and to the entire team for the amazing energy, passion and commitment throughout the event.

🏄‍♀️ Hello, where are you from and how long have you been practicing wingfoiling?
Hello, I’m from la Baule west coast of France and I’ve been practicing wingfoil since July 2024.

😎 How long have you been using Gaastra equipment?
I’ve been using Gaastra equipment since September 2025.

👌 What is your favorite board/wing?
My favorite wing is the Pure 4.2 m because it’s very light, powerful and super stable in all conditions. I also in love with the Flying Saucer, it's the perfect board for performing in course races.

💜 What is your best memory (session, trip, etc.)?
My best memory is training in La Baule Bay after winter. After months of cold, rain and sometimes tough conditions, it feels so good to get back to more enjoyable sessions and to switch back to a 4/3 wetsuit! What I really like is this period between winter and summer, around April, May: it’s not too cold, we can train as a group with the coach, and there are some competitions as well. The conditions are perfect: flat water, around 15 knots of wind, sunshine… ideal for speed and race training. It’s such a nice change from the big winter waves and it really makes me look forward to summer even more. This year was especially great, we already had some amazing sessions in March!
