Bahrain Prathibha Grandmasters Cup to Bring International Chess Talent Together on September 11

Manama: The inaugural Bahrain Prathibha Grandmasters Cup, an international chess tournament jointly organised by the Bahrain Prathibha Manama Zonal Committee, Bahrain Chess Federation and Arjun’s Chess Academy, will be held on September 11, 2026.

The tournament will take place at the Yousif Ahmed Abdulmalik Hall in Galali, bringing together chess players of different ages and nationalities. Participants must be registered with the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and possess valid FIDE identification numbers.

The competition will be conducted in the Rapid format over seven rounds, with attractive prizes for winners across various categories.

The event aims to promote chess in Bahrain, provide players with a competitive platform and identify promising young talent. Bahrain Prathibha officials said the tournament reflects the organisation’s continued efforts to encourage wider participation in chess, particularly among children and young people.

Representatives of the Bahrain Chess Federation praised Bahrain Prathibha’s initiatives and assured their full support for the tournament and future activities.

The event was announced at a press conference attended by Bahrain Chess Federation Treasurer Redha Fathima, Organising Committee Chairman N. V. Livin Kumar, Convener Manoj Paul, Arjun’s Chess Academy Director Arjun, Prathibha Manama Zonal Secretary Rajesh Attachery, President Nubin Ansari and Joint Convener Hridhya Renjith, among others.

Organisers expressed confidence that the tournament will strengthen Bahrain’s chess culture and offer an exciting platform for local and international players.

മനാമ : ബഹ്‌റൈൻ പ്രതിഭ മനാമ മേഖല ബഹ്‌റൈൻ ചെസ്സ് ഫെഡറേഷനും അർജുൻസ് ചെസ് അക്കാദമിയായും ചേർന്ന് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ചെസ്സ് ടൂർണമെൻറ് സെപ്റ്റംബർ 11 നടക്കുമെന്ന് സംഘാടകർ അറിയിച്ചു.

ഗലാലിയിലുള്ള യൂസിഫ് അഹമ്മദ് അബ്ദുൽമാലിക് ഹാളിലാണ് ടൂർണമെന്റ്. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ചെസ് ഫെഡറെഷനിൽ രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത (ഫിഡെ ഐ ഡി ) വിവിധ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള കളിക്കാരാണ് ടൂർണമെന്റിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നത്.

റാപിഡ് ഫോർമാറ്റിൽ ഏഴു റൗണ്ടുകളിലായാണ് മത്സരം നടക്കുക. ആകർഷകമായ സമ്മാനങ്ങളാണ് വിവിധ കാറ്റഗറിയിലുള്ള വിജയികൾക്കായി നൽകുന്നത്. രാജ്യത്തെ ചെസ് കായികരംഗത്തെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുവാനും പുതുതലമുറയിലെ ചെസ് പ്രതിഭകളെ കണ്ടെത്തി പരിപോഷിപ്പിക്കുവാനും ബഹ്‌റൈൻ പ്രതിഭ നടത്തുന്ന ശ്രമങ്ങളുടെ തുടർച്ചയാണ് ടൂർണമെന്റ് എന്നും ഭാരവാഹികൾ പറഞ്ഞു.

Sreya Sreejith and Anyav Gopalakrishnan Crowned Champions in ACA Summer Chess Camp – Batch 3

Manama, Bahrain – August 2026: Arjun’s Chess Academy successfully concluded the Batch 3 Grand Tournament of its August Summer Chess Camp at ACA Zinj. The camp was conducted from August 2 to 27, 2026, with the Grand Tournament held on the final day.

Batch 3 featured competitions in the Under 12 and Under 7 categories, providing ACA’s young players with an opportunity to put their training into competitive practice.

In the Under 12 category, Sreya Sreejith secured 1st place, followed by Aviel Shiloh Anchan in 2nd place and Micah Mathew Jacob in 3rd place.

In the Under 7 category, Anyav Gopalakrishnan emerged as the champion. Alia Sherly Anchan secured 2nd place, while Emil Mathew Jacob finished in 3rd place.

Ali Moamen and Mohammed Moamen Shine in ACA Summer Chess Camp Grand Tournament – Batch 2

Manama, Bahrain – August 2026: The Batch 2 Grand Tournament of Arjun’s Chess Academy’s August Summer Chess Camp concluded successfully at ACA Zinj, marking the end of the camp held from August 2 to 27, 2026.

The tournament featured competitions in the Under 15 and Under 10 categories, with young players displaying impressive skills and competitive spirit.

In the Under 15 category, Ali Moamen emerged as the champion, followed by Muhammed V K in 2nd place and Liam Amal Abraham in 3rd place.

In the Under 10 category, Mohammed Moamen secured the championship. Zayan Zuber finished 2nd, while Moulitha Raksh*th took 3rd place.
