It's with a heavy heart that we announce LIFT will be closing its doors for good effective immediately. This decision may seem sudden but the lingering effect COVID-19 has had on our business has made continued operations infeasible.

This may seem like a sad moment, but who knew we would come this far…

Never did we imagine that what started off as a dream in an outdoor garage gym would turn into a business and community that had a positive impact on so many people. The vision was to introduce effective, fun, and affordable training in a friendly, safe, community oriented atmosphere, and we believe we accomplished that.

Within LIFT, Bahrain Boxing Club, Bahrain's first dedicated boxing club aimed to develop a boxing club culture that was welcoming to absolute beginners, but could also cater to the experienced pugilist and everyone in-between.

Giving back to the community has always been part of our ethos. Through our series of charity boxing events over the years (Fight Nights) and generous support from corporate sponsors, we were able to donate much of the earnings to charitable organizations.

We also introduced the Mulakem Scholarship program to aid the growth of boxing in Bahrain by developing young Bahraini talent. Through this program, we were able to cover the costs of training for our scholarship boxers which included taking them on multiple international boxing tours - a first for Bahraini Boxers - allowing them to learn from and experience boxing clubs, and trainers around the world. We'd like to believe this program was a success as three of the Mulakem scholarship boxers have gone on to join the Bahrain National Team realizing their dreams of representing their country.

We could go on but the reason we highlight the above is because none of this would have been possible without YOUR support, and for this we remain eternally grateful. It's been an amazing journey; thank you for LIFTing with us!

Moving from side to side, also referred to as side-stepping, is a key skill to master as it plays a big role during offensive and defensive actions.

The side step also allows for new angles of attack to be opened and when mixed with ducking and slipping punches, the side step provides excellent defensive options.

The wait is over! It's time for everyone to get back into their normal weekly routine again.

We will be opening our doors Sunday 4th July at 8:00 am as normal. We can't wait to see everyone's faces again!

COVID-19 Reminder:
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts
- Remember to book your class 48 hours before
- Wear a face mask upon arrival for your class
- Only Vaccinated or Recovered people are allowed access to the gym
- Present your green shield at the door in front of our staff before your class
- Bring your towel & water bottle
