What is conscious movement and how Pilates supports it?
Conscious movement is the practice of moving with awareness, attention, and intention. Instead of moving on autopilot, we tune into the body, the breath, and the quality of each movement.

It invites us to listen to our body, to move with control rather than rush, and to prioritize quality over quantity

The Pilates method is deeply rooted in the principles of conscious movement. Each exercise has a clear purpose, guided by breath, proper alignment, and engagement of the center - the Powerhouse. The focus is not on the number of repetitions, but on precision, control, and fluidity.

Conscious movement is not limited only for the mat and in the class. It becomes part of everyday life — in the way we sit, stand, walk, lift objects, and respond to physical or mental stress. With practice, we develop a stronger connection to our body, improve posture, calmer nervous system and move with more ease. It's like a meditation practice.

One of my main goals in creating this channel is motivating you to move anywhere.

Nothing can stop me from moving my body, I'm not ashamed of stretching my legs in the airport, or doing a workout in the park.

And I'm here to tell you that you can do it too.

You are movement, everything else is an excuse 😉🤸🏼‍♀️💪🏼
