Scripture Union is an autonomous organization in each country, linked together by Scripture Union International. It is primarily a volunteer organization with a small number of full-time staff training, encouraging and coordinating ministry workers around the world. Scripture Union Bulgaria was found in 1991 by Hellen Perry, sent from England to help establish a movement in our country. Scripture
Union Bulgaria works with churches, aiming to spread to gospel among the children, youth and mature people, to encourage everybody from all ages to communicate daily with God – through reading of the Bible and prayer to reach a personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Among the activities of Scripture Union Bulgaria are: vacation events and camps for children, youth and families; family ministry; school ministry; educational ministry; youth ministry; Bible competitions; publishing and distributing Christian literature and audio-video materials; orphanage ministry. In the end of 2009 the national leader became Mihaila Petrova, and the head of Scripture Union Bulgaria board – Blaga Popova!
