The Divine Plan For Our Evolution ~

Do you see how the divine plan works for our continuous evolution toward oneness with God?

If we misuse our judgment and free will, and are foolish enough to go against God's laws, those laws still operate for our highest good, bringing us experiences that prod us (through suffering if necessary) into making the effort to recover our lost harmony with the Divine.

Eventually we come to understand: "I am the cause of my own suffering. I have to change. I can change and gradually transcend all these limitations and evils."

World Peace Comes Only Through Individual Peace ~

In one sense we can compare the world situation to the human body.

When the cells are healthy the organs are healthy; and when the organs are well, the whole body is filled with vitality.

But if something is wrong with the cells, then the health of the entire body goes.

So it is with civilization as a whole. As long as individuals live in harmony with themselves and their families, the automatic result is peace and harmony on the national and global level.

And if the individual is full of greed, selfishness, and hatred, this manifests as war and struggle on the social level.

Whether a person fights with his bare hands, with speech, or just in thought, or whether nations fight with guided missiles, the underlying cause is the same: selfishness, egotism.

Therefore, to bring peace in the world, we have to change as individuals. We have to live according to the laws of God.
