Rosen Penchev (BUL) got the 3th place at "Istavder Anniversary" (2024) and at "Black Sea Open" (2010), "Sunny Beach Open" champion (2019) and 2nd place at "Serdika Cup" (2018). Team Bulgaria member at the "World Team Championship" in Skopje (2023). Online he is "Bulgarian Win and Skill" qualification tournament winner (2022), and he took the 8th position in the finals (2022).

Benjamin Camo (BiH) is the first ever "Balkan Backgammon Tour" champion (2022), being "Mostar Open" champion (2022) and "Croatian Open" runner-up (2022). He is also WBGF Neum Individual winner in intermediate category (2022). A winner in a few domestic tournaments in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2025, 2026). Online he is "Turkey & Syria Charity Tournament" runner-up (2023) and he is the champion in the WBIF Bosnia and Herzegovina tournament (2024).

SEMI-FINALS

Only four players remain in the race for the title as the tournament enters its decisive stage.

🇧🇦 Bosnia & Herzegovina, 🇧🇬 Bulgaria, 🇩🇰 Denmark and 🇹🇷 Turkey each have one representative in the semi-finals.

Three of the four remaining players come from the Balkans.

Denmark and Bosnia & Herzegovina have reached the semi-finals of SLAVIA OPEN for the very first time.

With all former champions already out of the tournament, one thing is certain: A new champion will be crowned 🏆

Another tournament, another title for Slavia Backgammon Club.

Bogidar Iliev won the monthly tournament held in the town of Panagyurishte. The event brought together 38 players from across the country, including five representatives of our club.

Congratulations to the tournament organisers, for creating a friendly atmosphere and excellent playing conditions. 🎲🎲

It's time for the grand final. It is coming up tomorrow night at 21:00 Bulgarian Time (20:00 BGT/CET). The 2022 champion Bogidar Iliev takes on the very strong new generation Bulgarian backgammon super star Ivan Leshtarov.

The match will be brought to the viewing public by "Double Sixes" Studio. It will be in Bulgarian language with a strong commentary team behind the curtains.
