🌍 In August 2025, Sakarya, Turkey hosted a training under the EmpowerSport program where 24 Bulgarian sport professionals dived into adapted sports such as boccia, volleyball, swimming, and more. They also supported a camp bringing together 30 athletes with intellectual disabilities from Bulgaria and Turkey - demonstrating inclusion in action.

💡 Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, this experience strengthened skills, built networks, and proved the power of sport for all.

🌍 Two experiences, one powerful mission.
💙 The camp and the training brought together passion, knowledge, and inclusion - and left unforgettable marks on everyone involved.

🏕 At the (Strengthening Potentials through Opportunities, Respect, and Team-spirit) camp in Sakarya, Turkey, 30 athletes with intellectual disabilities from 🇧🇬 Bulgaria and 🇹🇷 Turkey shared 4 days of teamwork, challenges, and joy. Laughter, sports, new friendships - a truly emotional journey that proved the power of inclusion and community.

🎓 Meanwhile, the training equipped 24 Bulgarian sports experts and teachers with cutting-edge knowledge in adapted physical activities. From theory to hands-on practice, they explored new ways to make sports more inclusive - and returned inspired, connected, and empowered.

🤝 Together, these Erasmus+ funded initiatives are building bridges - between people, countries, and possibilities.

✅Third day in Sakarya - Training continued with adapted swimming sessions 🏊, followed by exciting sport games at Sakarya University sports hall for an international group of athletes. Bulgarian experts supported the athletes and shared methodologies in adapted physical activity. The day ended with reflection and certification - new skills, stronger competences, and lasting friendships. 🎓🤝
The mobility, supported by the Erasmus+ programme (2024-1-BG01-KA121-ADU-000196813),
ended with inspiration and new ideas for the development of sport in Bulgaria.

✅A dynamic day second day of training course at Macera Park in Sakarya!
🏓🏐🎯🤾♀️Bulgarian sport experts led and joined practical sessions in adapted physical activities: table tennis, volleyball, bocce, football and dancing for people with intellectual disabilities. Mixed teams trained together, building trust, teamwork, and inclusion through sport. 🔥
The mobility, supported by the Erasmus+ programme (2024-1-BG01-KA121-ADU-000196813),
continued to strengthen the participants' practical knowledge and skills.

✅Day 1 in Sakarya for the training course. Bulgarian sport experts were warmly welcomed by Kargenc Club and explored the role of volunteering in adapted physical activity through formal and non-formal educational activities. Afternoon sessions focused on mapping competences and creating task descriptions for volunteers supporting participants with disabilities. 🙌
