💜 Our friends at Ideas Factory Association have wonderful news!
This year they are launching an international artistic residency (1–21 September 2026) as part of the Culture Moves Europe programme — in a village and region where they will be working for the very first time.

The residency is their first joint initiative with the Uzunite Foundation in Dyulevo, built on shared values and the belief that culture heals social wounds — and that villages play a key role in this transformation.

We are so happy to finally share with you the result of months of super hard work — turning a dream into reality. Folk Marathon is a very special event, and bringing it to Sofia meant the world to us. Here is our After Movie!

Around the New Year of 2026, dancers, musicians, and folk lovers from all over the world gathered to celebrate traditions, diversity, friendship, and the joy of cultural exchange.

This edition in Sofia was a joint initiative by Balfolkariya, Феникс Перпетикум/Phoenix Perpeticum , Сдружение за антични реконструкции "Mos Maiorum Ulpiae Serdicae", Читалище „Природа и наука 1938 г.“, гр. София. Huge thanks to Регионален исторически музей - София / Regional History Museum - Sofia and Sofia Municipality, all the venues, everyone who joined us, and everyone who helped make this dream come true.
