“Green Way” Association is a nonprofit organization registered in the State Register of Legal Entities profit on 29 March 2010 which carries out its activities primarily in private benefit, and in early 2011. Following a unanimous vote of the General Assembly was re-registered in association with public benefit. The Association was established to:
•develop and promote cycling sport in Bulgaria;
•stimulate and unite citizens, their communities and organizations, promote, develop and support their needs, and in particular by expanding knowledge and encouraging interest in cycling, bicycle tourism, other sports and activities related
•represent and protect the interests of coaches, athletes and actors in the field of cycling;
•build and maintain bicycle infrastructure;
•create a cycling club and branches in different regions of the country. For the realization of its objectives the Association has the following activities:
• collect and disseminate information on cycling events and news;
• build, maintain and mark cycling routes;
• organize sporting events, bike shows and competitions;
• prepare and distribute flyers in order to achieve the objectives of the Association;
• creates a cycling school for young lovers of cycling. The first is the organization of the competition in mountain biking “XC Open Cup Karlovo” that was held on 12-13 June 2010 with the support of local and national organizations and partners. The second event was the participation of the Association with its own stand at sporting exhibition “The Bicycle today”organized by the company Vivelo, held on 10 July 2010 of Sofia racetrack. To carry out its objectives “Green Way” Association interacts and partners with governmental and municipal institutions, other nonprofit organizations, individuals and legal entities. The association participates and supports all initiatives related to the purpose and object of its activity.
