The gatekeepers are losing control. The sport belongs to the athletes and they better get used to it
Today I have a very important announcement to make to Indian Armwrestling and the Armwrestling World.
The Court has made its ruling.
On 13th May 2026, the Civil Judge (Sr. Div) No.1, Kamrup Metro, Guwahati passed an order directing PAFI to immediately suspend and reverse the blacklisting directive against me dated 21/09/2025 and the official intimation agianst me dated 24/04/2026 which had resulted in myself and my fiancè Chetna being placed Not in Good Standing with WAF.
After 1.5 years of torture from federation officials, the truth has finally been heard and vindicated by form of immediate injuction.
This not only sets Chetna and I rightly free, and prevents any further ostracism of us directly. It also affects you.
It means athletes can no longer be banned, threatened, or disciplined for training with us, associating with us or participating in Pound for Pound events.
For too long, many of you were forced to train in secret. You were made to feel like you had to choose between your natural instinct to respect Chetna and I as athletes, friends and family or avoid us in order to protect your place in the mafia run federation controlling the sport. That chapter is now closed.
You are free to train with whoever you want.
You are free to compete on any platform you choose.
You are free to build your own career without looking over your shoulder.
No federation or individual has the right to own you, control you, or decide your associations.
Armwrestling belongs to the athletes — not to any organisation or person seeking power and profit through fear and restriction.
This order sends a clear message:
The era of bullying, blacklisting, and mafia-style coercion is being challenged.
Athletes now have the space to exist independently.
From this point forward, federations and event organisers must earn your support by creating real value — not by threatening to take it away.
To every athlete who has been waiting for this moment:
You can now stand tall. Train openly. Compete freely.
The sport is bigger than any one federation.
And today, we have taken an enourmous step toward taking it back.
Welcome to this new era of armwrestling.
