To the many people that messaged and expressed interest in the ReUnionRide idea, this unexpected post today of a reincarnated British Championships at 'Gorm rather puts paid to the idea. At least for this year anyway.

There's no way an unestablished and unknown gathering event could ever go head-to-head with a core and important slice of British snowboard culture. Nor should it even attempt to. The dates collide anyway but the Brits used to be an integral part of the UK snowboard calendar.

I - like so many others - have attended and competed at the Brits multiple times. It's good to see them back with a stellar line-up of quality riders. I wish the organisers well and look forward to seeing footage from the comp.

Thanks for the enthusiasm anyway but this one will need to go on the back burner until another time. Hopefully - maybe - next year.

If you have the opportunity, go to the Brits. I used to be the best week of the snowboard year in the UK.
